Paul Martino – Registered Psychotherapist
Paul is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling and his bachelor’s degree in Social Work, both from Niagara University in Lewiston, New York. Paul has provided psychotherapy and counselling at Brain Injury Community Re-Entry, Pathstone Mental Health, Canadian Mental Health Association, Youth Resources Niagara, Community Addiction Services Of Niagara, and Grimsby Medical Associates. Paul brings experience working with a range of clients including children, teens, adults, parents, and couples.
Paul practices from a client-centered, trauma informed lens and offers treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and substance use, chronic pain, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and general life stressors. He employs an eclectic and integrated approach individualized for each client, incorporating evidence based techniques and modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Paul is a compassionate, understanding counsellor using empathy, kindness, and (appropriately timed) humour to build rapport and positive therapeutic relationships with his clients.
