Meghan Perretta – Registered Psychotherapist
Meghan is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, with a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Youngstown State University in Ohio, USA. She also holds a Master of Science in Psychological and Psychiatric Anthropology from Brunel University London in the UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University in Canada. Meghan’s research interests include the human-animal bond for better mental wellbeing.
Meghan has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a range of mental health needs such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, and more. She uses person-centered and trauma-informed approaches, drawing from evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and ACT. Meghan is culturally sensitive and works with clients from the LGBTQIA+ community based on their individual needs and experiences. She also collaborates with guardians when treating children, promoting self-compassion, self-esteem, and the application of clients’ strengths.
