Mary Ryan – Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology Student

Mary Ryan (she/her) is a student in the Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University, and a Qualifying registrant (RPQ) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She is supervised by Dr. Jean Dennis, Clinical Psychologist. Mary also has ten years of experience supporting individuals with developmental, behavioural, and/or learning differences, with a background in rehabilitation counselling for acquired brain injury (ABI) and Deafblind intervention.

Mary understands how intimidating it can be to take the first step towards change. She aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to work through their current struggles. Mary provides an integrative and client-centred approach to help each unique person recognize their inner strength and resilience. Her areas of interest include neurodivergence, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and caregiver support. She is available to work with clients between the ages of 10 to 65.
