Kiara Camilleri, Psychotherapy Placement Student
Kiara Camilleri (she/her) is a student in the Master of Counselling Psychology program at City University. She is currently completing her practicum placement at Hillcrest Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Jean Dennis, Clinical Psychologist. Kiara has been active in the mental health field for the past four years. Throughout her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Brock University, she has worked with a variety of populations such as children, adolescents, and vulnerable older adults, and this is when she learned about the profound impact of mental illness and how it affects individuals and the community. Further, Kiara has taken time to enhance her knowledge by completing additional workshops, such as Safe Talk and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASSIST).
Kiara believes that starting a journey in therapy is a brave step toward healing and self-discovery. Therapy offers a secure, accepting environment for delving into the intricacies of the human condition. She advocates that therapy enables us to unravel the complexities of our past and present to create a more fulfilling future. Her strategy is built on the idea that everyone can make change, and her role is to support that process by offering evidence-based assistance that is customized to meet each individual’s specific goals and needs. Therapy provides an opportunity to get to know yourself better, clearly define goals, and make the change you want to see in life.

Hourly Rate: $100 with option of sliding scale
